Organic fluid shapes, texture and linear marks are very important elements within Maxine Harris’s practice. She has a strong passion for Screen Printing to create interior prints that have depth by creating layers. The use of line is applied in a way to add another layer to her work, drawing in an abstract way by using line and collage. Continuous line or other drawing techniques such as mark making creates an effect that always gives fluid outcomes that can be added into a design with ease as it suits her aesthetic.

Handcraft plays a key part in the way Maxine works and is heavily influenced by what each method of printing can offer the design or print that is being worked on, using the advantages of both hand and digital methods of print, sometimes combining them together to create hybrid, contemporary designs. Always utilising processes to explore areas of interest within contemporary compositions.
